The doors to this cabinet open at either end, and are fitted with runners to hold dining table leaves.
A design for a wooden-topped ‘Hall Table’ of very similar form is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum: 94.J.16 (D.1883-96); the patron was W.F.N. Moore, Esq.
The marble top has been repaired, and strengthened from below.
