Notes
The design for these chairs forms part of the ‘Tracings by Thomas Wilkinson, from the Designs of the late Mr George Bullock 1820’ (the so-called Wilkinson Tracings), p. 5. A variant of the pattern was published by Richard Bridgens, a designer associated with Bullock, in Furniture with candelabra (1838 edn), pl. 14. Richard Brown also published a version in Rudiments of Cabinet and Upholstery Furniture (1822), pl. VII.
