This chest, part of Russell’s ‘Stow’ suite, was designed in 1924, with two short and three long, graduated drawers. Design no, 103, first made in oak, was sometimes made in chestnut and occasionally in walnut. The model remained popular and continued to be made until 1930.
The present chest is a specially commissioned variant, with three equal-sized longer drawers, below the top drawer.
