    A walnut and marquetry sideboard of this form was supplied in 1873 by Gillow for Bradford Town Hall; see Charles Handley-Read, ‘England 1830-1901’ in Helena Hayward (ed.), World Furniture, 1965, 1979n edn, fig. 846.

    A further example by Gillow is in the collection of the Judges’ Lodgings (Gillow Museum), Lancaster, acquired from Blairman’s in the 1980s.
