This teapot, shape ‘2273’ is recorded in a contemporary photograph from the 1879 Dixon ‘Costing Book’ (see right).
A further example, together with a milk jug and sugar bowl, (formerly in the Andrew McIntosh Patrick collection) belongs to the Museum of Fine Arts, San Francisco.
