An identical plaque depicting Emperor Napoléon III (1808-73) and Empress Eugénie (1826-1920), with different patination, is in the collection of the Christofle Museum.
Two Sèvres biscuit porcelain plaques with the same images of the Emperor and Empress are in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 381.145.209, a & b. The museum’s attribution to Peyre is confirmed by the present plaque.
